alternatirement started as a means to share our approach to modern living. We’ve been fortunate that it has been so positive overall and has allowed us to experience many wonderful things.
Ultimately, however, alternatirement – the concept – is in part about finding flexible ways to finance one’s lifestyle – while you’re living it – not just while you’re waiting for it to start. Therefore, if at some point in the future, the alternatirement project generates income over and above what it costs to produce, we’ll consider that a demonstration of our principles in action!
Having said that … what we write about and why, is personal for us. It’s been an interesting journey. One that has included, as might be expected, many ups and downs. But because it’s personal, we’re unwilling to compromise our credibility simply to secure some advertising or sponsorship income. This means every business we mention is a business we’d mention whether affiliate income was involved or not.
